July 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Bengaluru:

The body of a newborn boy was found buried under debris in a dilapidated house in Sanjivininagar in Kodigehalli, near Kempegowda International Airport Road on Saturday morning by a group of youths playing cricket in the vicinity.

“During the game, the ball went into one of the old houses. The boys who went in search of the ball, found some clothes on the floor of a room. When they pulled the clothes out, they found the body,” a senior police officer said. The police suspect the baby may have been buried alive.

The Kodigehalli Police exhumed the body and sent it for post-mortem. The house belonged to Shivanna, a resident of Tumkuru, who has been summoned for investigations. Neighbours told the police that the house has remained locked for the last two years.
