‘G’ category sites: State in a fix

November 01, 2014 12:57 am | Updated 12:57 am IST - Bangalore:

The State government on Friday expressed its difficulty before the High Court of Karnataka to implement the recommendations made by a committee which looked into eligibility of persons to retain the sites allotted to them by the Bangalore Development Authority, under ‘G’ category, based on the recommendations of then Chief Ministers. Advocate-General Ravivarma Kumar claimed that some of the recommendation was contrary to the Order passed by the court. He also said that the State cabinet was finding it difficult to take a decision in this regard.

To this, the Bench said the government should have come before the court if any recommendation were contrary to the guidelines laid down by the court.
