Lightning Bolt struck Bangalore…And even the low-hanging dark clouds could not hold on.

The world’s “fastest man” came and regaled the goodly crowd both at ITC Gardenia and at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, later in the evening.

There was no doubting his blistering pace on the tracks…but the Jamaican looked equally at ease — be it with the media or even crooning to the crowds. And when it poured, the crowd of over 3,000 waited patiently for him to come back onto the field and show-off his ability with the bat and ball. He even has to his credit a dismissal of fellow West Indian, the burly Chris Gayle.

“It’s my first visit to Bangalore and India. I always wanted to come here one day…and am amazed at the energy level of the crowd. I’m loving this visit every bit and will carry glowing memories of it,” he said.

Yuvraj Singh, Indian cricket’s ‘poster boy’, played second fiddle to the iconic Bolt in every respect during the little ‘match-ups’ in the evening. And every time Bolt boasted of his prowess, Yuvi — whose brashness on the cricketing field world over is legendary — decided to allow the visitor the upper hand. And every time, Bolt showed his biceps Yuvi played along.

And when everything seemed to go Bolt’s way, Yuvi elbowed the sprint king to the 100-metres finish.

“I wish to come back, probably with Chris Gayle who can show me around,” Bolt signed off for the day.
