Woman held for peddling marijuana at her restaurant

The HSR Layout police have arrested a 35-year-old woman for selling marijuana.

The suspect, Saraswathi, owns an eatery in Agara. She had been selling marijuana to her patrons, most of whom were college students, cab drivers and private firm employees.

According to the police, she allegedly procured the drug from Odisha.

Based on a tip-off, the police raided her eatery and arrested her along with her associate, Raju.

They recovered five kg of marijuana and over half a dozen hookahsfrom the eatery.

They have booked a case against the duo under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and remanded them in judicial custody.
