The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Alandur Assembly seat this by-poll, Gnani Sankaran, ended his election campaign with a ‘will you answer?’ drive on Tuesday.

Mr. Gnani distributed printed postcards that can be sent to both Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and DMK president M. Karunanidhi. “This postcard campaign will continue even after the elections,” he said.

The postcards bear the question “Why are you silent about the exposure by AAP leader Prashant Bhushan that your government runs liquor business only because the liquor barons are your benamis? Will you answer?”

He reminded the voters that Ms. Jayalalithaa and Mr. Karunanidhi had been asking the voters "will you vote for us?", and the time had come for the voters to demand an answer from them.

He wound up his campaign near the Alandur post office at 4.30 p.m.
