Alan Rusbridger to be Visiting Professor at ACJ

Alan Rusbridger, who has just demitted office as Editor of The Guardian , will be a Visiting Professor at the Asian College of Journalism (ACJ), Chennai, for a month in the first term, beginning July 6.

Mr. Rusbridger, who stepped down as Editor on May 29, will be Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, from October and will take over as Chair of the Scott Trust, which runs The Guardian , from September 2016.

Sashi Kumar, Chairman of the Media Development Foundation, the Trust which runs the ACJ, said: “We look forward very much to having Mr. Rusbridger with us and to interacting with him on the state of journalism today. Students of the current batch are fortunate to have the opportunity to be taught by one of the finest editors of our times.”
