Doctor didn’t follow protocol, alleges Salman

February 01, 2015 02:49 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:14 pm IST - MUMBAI:

The doctor at Sir J J Hospital who had collected actor Salman Khan’s blood samples over 10 hours after the 2002 hit-and-run case did not follow the protocol to seal the blood sample in order to get a favourable police report, Salman Khan’s lawyer alleged here on Saturday. Shrikant Shivade was cross-examining the doctor who refuted the allegations.

The defence finished the cross-examination of the doctor on Saturday. It alleged that the blood samples were not labelled properly. The court then heard the application of the prosecution seeking examination of additional witnesses. During the cross-examination, the doctor said he was not aware if his endorsement was necessary for chemical analysis of the blood sample. He also said that there were no separate markings on the two bottles — one which carried only the blood and the other that had blood with preservative.
