Decision on running for US President soon: Jindal

Republican leader Bobby Jindal has said he will decide on his 2016 presidential run in the next couple of months. “Supriya (wife) and I are thinking and praying about whether I’ll run — let me tell you this. I will make that decision the next couple of months,” Mr.Jindal said at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“Anybody thinking about running for President, what is more important, forgets the polls, forget the fund-rising forget the consultants, forget the media. They need to think about what they would do if they were elected President,” said the first Indian-American Louisiana Governor.

“We need our next President to want to do something. Not be somebody. That’s how I spent the last year; I spent the last year putting on out policies on the foreign policy, on education reform, on energy independence, on replacing and repealing Obamacare,” Mr. Jindal said.

Mr. Jindal, 43, continued with his attack on Obama’s presidency in particular on terrorism.

“I want Congress to give the President more than he is asked for; they need to give him the tools to win this war. Remove the three year time limit. Remove the ban on ground troops,” he said.

“This President is bankrupting our country financially, morally, our international standing,” he said.

“We have to win this election. We must win this election. We can win this election. We will win this election so that your children, my children can say the same prayer my parents taught me. They are blessed to be born in the greatest country in the history of the entire world, the United States of America,” Mr Jindal said.
