11 dead in Nepal jeep crash

Eleven people were killed in a jeep accident in central-western Nepal on Tuesday, police said.

The jeep was travelling from Myagdi district’s Ramche to Beni when it fell some 200 metres, according to witnesses.

Fourteen people were travelling in the jeep.

The three survivors were said to be in serious condition.

Witnesses said the accident occurred as the jeep tried to take a bend on the steep, narrow road.
