A six-month-old girl was raped by a person known to the child’s family in Gujarat’s Patan district.
The police on Wednesday registered a case under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the IPC and 3 (a) (b) of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, pertaining to penetrative sexual assault, against Bhavanji Thakor (30).
The incident took place on Tuesday night at Itoda village in Patan’s Chanasma taluka.
