Dedicated e-mail facility for govt. staff

July 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:06 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The State government has decided to create a dedicated e-mail facility for its employees at different levels to ensure transparency in the government-to-government communications.

Accordingly, an exclusive e-mail policy will be evolved shortly to link all the employees from village-level to the Chief Secretary’s office through e-mail.

The proposal has been mooted to ensure that there was clarity in communication at different levers and avoid scope for leakages that were reported through the use of the facility offered by different service providers.

The State Cabinet also decided to make Aadhaar mandatory for all the departments for taking up welfare and developmental programmes, Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu said.

The Cabinet resolved to deploy pre-fabricated material technology in the construction of close to 7,000 houses that were damaged during the Hudhud cyclone on a pilot basis.

The Cabinet had passed a unanimous resolution asking the Central government to ensure installation of statue of legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju on Parliament premises. The State government had agreed to provide the statue and it was for the Centre to permit its installation in Parliament, he said.
