Iswaran meets Naidu to handover master plan

Singapore’s Second Minister for Trade and Industry S. Iswaran met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at A.P. Secretariat here on Monday in connection with handing over of the second phase of the Master Plan on new Capital City of Andhra Pradesh, which was prepared by Singapore Government agencies.

After the interaction between Mr. Naidu and Mr. Iswaran gets over, the High-Level meeting on capital formation would meet and discuss ways to implement the plan.

The Singapore agencies have already submitted the Master Plan for the first phase covering an area of approximately 7,325 sq.km. The second phase of the Master Plan deals with 125 sq. km area of the core area of the capital city, while the third phase relates to seed Development Plan covering an area of eight sq.km

The State Government announced that the ground-breaking ceremony for building the new capital will be held on June 6 at 8.49 a.m. and actual works be grounded around the time of Dussera in October.
