“The resultant mutants of nuclear activity help in agriculture, defence, industry and other sectors,” said Dr. A.V. Ramana Reddy, head of Analytical Chemistry Division at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai. He was speaking at a seminar organised by Sri Gowthami Smart School on ‘Nuclear Stability, Radioactivity and Nuclear Reactions’ in Rajahmundry on Sunday.
Later, during his interaction with students, Dr. Reddy said nuclear physics had brought in lifestyle changes, prompting the current global education trends
He also gave a lecture on Nuclear Chemistry on the occasion.
