Oil firms urged to help improve civic infra

The oil and natural gas exploration companies operating in Krishna district have been invited for talks on preparation of an action plan for development of civic infrastructure in their respective areas of operation, Machilipatnam MP K. Narayana said here on Monday.

Excise and BC Welfare Minister K. Ravindra, Krishna Collector Babu A. and Mr. Narayana will hold talks with the representatives of the Oil and Natural Gas Company (ONGC) and the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) in Hyderabad on August 1.

“The focus of the meeting will be on the need for more support from the companies to improve civic infrastructure in villages and those which have been adopted by them,” Mr. Narayana said.
