ONGC Captain Cup Golf Tournament gets good response

ONGC Rajahmundry Asset organised Captain Cup Golf Tournament-2014 at Godavari Golf Club here on Sunday. The event witnessed splendid display of putting on the greens with around 41 golfers battling it out at various events.

The players hailing from Hyderabad, Kakinada and Rajahmundry participated in categories like Net Event, Stable Ford, Veteran, Long Drive and Nearest to pin.

Speaking on occasion, Debasis Sanyal, Captain of Godavari Golf Club, said that the event attracted best of talent from the region and offered a great opportunity to witness astute golfing. He said the company strove hard to use sports as a medium to enhance connection with the people of the region.

The event was attended by A. Satyanarayana, General Manager (W) Head Well Services, A.K. Lal, GM (D) Head Drilling Services, P.V. Sateesh Kumar, GM (P) Surface Manager and others. The tournament was successfully organised by the team members of the Godavari Golf Club — K. Vidya Sagar (vice-captain), D. Rama Krishnan (secretary), Ch. Sivaswamy (joint secretary), R.S. Ramarao (treasurer) and co-ordinated by Lanka Ravi, sports coordinator, Rajahmundry Asset.
