Passengers on an Air India flight to Delhi were forced to endure a marathon tedium of waiting after the AI 850 flight, due to depart on Thursday, was delayed for a harrowing 24 hours.
The flight, scheduled for 6.40 p.m., was forced to return owing to a technical snag.
The rescheduled flight also developed a snag after takeoff, and was forced to land at Pune airport.
Passengers protest The impatience of stranded passengers boiled over and they vehemently protested against the airline’s shoddy service on Friday evening.
In a hurriedly-issued statement, Air India tamely admitted the snag, stating that alternative arrangements are being made as expeditiously as possible.
This is the second such incident involving Air India after 160 passengers were stranded for 12 hours in November 2012 after a Delhi-bound morning flight developed a technical snag.
