Unidentified body found near railway track

An unidentified body has been found near the railway track between Kyatsandra and Mallasandra railway station in Tumakuru on Sunday.

The police said that the deceased was yet to be identified as his face had been crushed. He was wearing khaki clothes and seemed around 48 years of age.

The body has been shifted to Tumakuru District government hospital for post mortem. A case has been registered by the railway police.

In another incident, an unidentified woman who was found unconscious in Hubli passenger train in Tumakuru died in the government hospital on Sunday.

The woman, aged around 45 years, was found unconscious in the Hubli passenger train on May 20. She had been shifted to the hospital by the railway police.
