Mukesh Ambani drops out of PM’s delegation

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd has decided to skip a high level delegation that is to visit Tokyo during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ongoing trip to Japan.

While the PM reached Kyoto in Japan on Saturday, the high level business delegation will be arriving in Tokyo on Sunday to participate in India-Japan Business Leader's Forum meeting scheduled on September 1.

Mr. Ambani sent regrets to the government expressing his inability to participate.

“Due to prior business commitments that need his presence, Mr. Ambani will not be travelling to Japan,” a Reliance spokesperson said on the reason why India's richest man decided to opt out.
