Four Army soldiers were injured during a blast in a truck of Gorkha Rifles in Dehradun’s Ghanghora region, on Saturday.

“Four soldiers were in the truck when the blast happened,” Dehradun Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said.

Mr. Singh said that one soldier touched an unknown object in the truck, which resulted in the blast. “An investigation to ascertain the kind of explosive that caused the blast is underway,” he said.

While three soldiers got minor injuries, the soldier who touched the explosive had to get his palm amputated, Mr Singh said.
