Modi slammed at SP national convention

October 09, 2014 11:25 pm | Updated May 23, 2016 04:52 pm IST - LUCKNOW:

The importance of holding training camps, the need to make Samajwadi Party a national-level party and the adoption of a strict line against errant Ministers and bureaucrats figured prominently in discussions on the second day of the Samajwadi Party’s national convention at the Janeshwar Mishra Park here on Thursday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were roundly condemned by the speakers.

SP national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav criticised the Prime Minister for “belittling the role of scientists associated with the Mars mission.” The other speakers ridiculed the “Swachh Bharat” campaign, and alleged that it was an attempt to leave the sanitation staff jobless.
