NCM calls for probe into attack on V-C

September 19, 2014 12:09 am | Updated November 16, 2021 01:07 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

The National Commission for Minorities has written to Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, requesting him to order an enquiry into the attack on the Vice-Chancellor of Vikram University in Ujjain, J.L. Kaul, for ‘expression of compassion’ towards students from Jammu and Kashmir. In a letter to the Governor — who is also Chancellor of the University — NCM Chairman Naseem Ahmad expressed concern over the attack.

He hoped the Vice-Chancellor would be protected and supported in standing by his appeal. “We request you to make sure that those held guilty are punished.”
