The Assam Assembly on Saturday witnessed a noisy walkout during Question Hour by the entire Opposition over the violence on the Assam-Nagaland boundary and killing of a girl by National Democratic Front of Bodoland militants in the State’s Chirang district.

The All India United Democratic Front, the Asom Gana Parishad, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Bodoland People’s Front protested after the State opposed their demand for a discussion on the incidents.

When the Opposition MLAs sought to bring up the issue, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Nilamani Sen Deka observed that the matters were sub judice.
