Describing the cleanliness campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “an amazing initiative,” actor Aamir Khan said here on Sunday that the target of a “Swachh Bharat [clean India]” by 2019 was achievable, provided citizens and the government took active part in its implementation.

Speaking to reporters after the live screening of his programme ‘Mumkin Hai,’ Mr. Khan noted that waste could be turned into wealth if the various solid and liquid refuse treatment techniques already available, such as segregation of waste, were put to use effectively.
