PM statement goes against RSS view, says Mayawati

September 21, 2014 02:06 am | Updated November 16, 2021 05:47 pm IST - LUCKNOW:

Bahujan Samaj Party president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the patriotism of Indian Muslims as “politically motivated.” She said the Prime Minister’s statement is in contrast to the character and attitude of his party and its allies. Ms. Mayawati said while Mr. Modi gives a statement on the Indian Muslims, the BJP’s student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organises a girl students’ workshop on “love jihad” and other divisive issues. “It is clear that whatever the Prime Minister says is mostly politically motivated,” Ms. Mayawati added.
