YSR Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and former Karnataka BJP Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who was released from jail in Bengaluru a few days ago, appeared in cases against them in a special CBI court here on Thursday.
While Jagan showed up in the disproportionate assets case against him, Janardhan Reddy attended the court in connection with irregularities by Obulapuram Mining Company owned by the latter. Both of them exchanged pleasantries in the court hall ahead of the proceedings.
Also to appear in Jagan case were former Congress Ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao, Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy, YSR Congress MP and Jagan's uncle Y.V. Subba Reddy, IAS officer Manmohan Singh, former IAS officers M. Samuel and B. Krupanandam, chairman of Indu group of companies Shamprasad Reddy and Nimmagadda Prakash, brother of industrialist Nimmgadda Prasad.
Those present in the case against Gali Janardhan Reddy included the managing director of OMC B.V. Srinivas Reddy who was also released from jail here few days ago, former Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, former mines director V.D. Rajagopal and retired bureaucrat B. Krupanandam. The OMC case was adjourned to February 19 and the Jagan assets case to March 6.
