Top brass undisturbed in allotment

The provisional allocation of All India Officers to both the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has not led to any changes in the top level posts.

Contrary to the speculation that Telangana Chief Secretary may be allocated to Andhra Pradesh going by the roster system, Mr.Rajiv Sharma got allocated to Telangana and thus would continue in the same post.

The Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma was also allocated to Telangana.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao and DGP J.V. Ramudu will be with AP as they hail from Andhra region.

The Pratyush Sinha committee along with the Chief Secretaries of both the States met in Delhi on Friday morning and finalised the provisional allocation of IAS, IPS and IFS officers. The provisional allocation lists of AIS officers along with the guidelines of allocation was uploaded on the website of Department of Personnel and Training late on Friday night. Among the 261 direct recruit IAS posts, available officers are 191 and of them 108 officers were allotted to Andhra Pradesh and 83 to Telangana and there is a shortfall of 70 posts.

GHMC chief allotted to AP

Among 83 officers allotted to Telangana, 28 are insider officers and 55 are outsider officers. In Andhra Pradesh, 37 are insider officers and 71 are outsider officers.

According to the available information, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar, HMDA Commissioner Neerabh Kumar have been allocated to Andhra Pradesh.

Dr.P.V.Ramesh, Principal Secretary, Finance, Mr.Rajesh Tiwari, Principal Secretary, GAD, Mr.S.P.Singh, Principal Secretary, Revenue, Ms.Nilam Sawhney, Principal Secretary, Woman and Child Welfare and Higher Education, Mr.M.G.Gopal, TTD EO, Ms.Chandana Khan, Chief Secretary, Tourism , Adtyanath Das, Principal Secretary, Irrigation, all at present serving in AP have been allocated to Telangana State cadre. It is not yet clear whether Mr.Gopal will have to step down from his present post.
