Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s power pitch to American CEOs, on the untapped potential of India’s growth opportunities, is remarkable (Sept. 30). But to make it a reality, India has to ensure long-term energy security and infrastructure growth backed by stable government policies as far as labour rules, tax and legal structures are concerned. The most important aspect in this is energy, without which it would be next to impossible to realise the “Make in India” concept. There also has to be world-class roads.
