July 31, 2015 02:58 pm | Updated 02:58 pm IST - DHAKA

Heavy showers from tropical storm ‘Komen’ washed out the entire second day of the second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa on Friday.

Officials said there will be no attempt on the third day Saturday to make up for lost time and the match will start at the scheduled time if the weather permits.

Bangladesh is 246-8 after electing to bat first with Nasir Hossain batting on 13.

The first test ended in a draw after the final two days were washed out by rain.
