B. Aparajith’s unbeaten 158 (238b, 19x4, 3x6) propelled Vijay CC to 327 for the loss of four wickets on day one of the TNCA first division Group A league match against India Pistons here on Wednesday. The 169-run second-wicket partnership between Aparajith and R. Rohith set the tone before B. Indrajith joined his twin brother at the crease and the duo added 94 for an unbroken fifth-wicket partnership.

At Pachaiyappa’s, skipper S. Vasanth Saravanan accounted for more than half his team’s first innings score as he made 117 (123b, 13x4, 4x6) to help Nelson SC to 182 against Globe Trotters. Monish Satish picked up four wickets for 70 runs. In reply, Trotters, helped by S. Anirudha’s 58 (46b, 10x4), ended the day on 135 for four. At IIT-Chemplast, Abhishek Hegde top-scored with 83 (130b, 12x4, 1x6) as IOB was all out for 281 against Jolly Rovers in group B.
