Boost for badminton

April 02, 2015 04:39 am | Updated 04:39 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The Union Sports Ministry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) for supporting badminton.

As per the MoU, IIFCL, a company under Ministry of Finance, would contribute Rs. 30 crore over a period of three years (Rs. 10 crore per year) to the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) as part of its corporate social responsibility.

This will help the Sports Ministry provide customised training, top quality equipment, best support staff and other necessary support to the athletes.
