Hammer thrower Harvender Singh Dagar has been suspended for eight years for a second anti-doping rule violation.

Dagar, who had been handed a two-year suspension by a National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (NADDP) in September 2012 for testing positive for steroids (stanozolol and methandienon) during the Federation Cup athletics meet in April that year, returned a positive result for nandrolone during the reinstatement test conducted on April 29, 2014.
