Sanjay and Madhu corner glory

Assam’s Sanjay Boro and Punjab’s Madhu Vedwan won the gold in the individual Olympic round of the junior boys’ and girls’ segments respectively in the recurve division of the 37th National junior archery championship here on Saturday.

The results:

Mini: Boys: Team: 1. Haryana, 2. Assam, 3. Jharkhand; Individual Olympic round: 1. Vijender Singh (Har) 2. Ankur Dutta (Asm) 3. Suna Santa (Odisha).

Girls: Team: 1. Jharkhand, 2. Maharashtra, 3. Haryana; Individual Olympic round: 1. Sakshi Shitole (Mah) 2. Saloni Bishnoi (J&K) 3. Awanti Kalonde (Mah). Mixed Team: 1. Jharkhand, 2. Maharashtra, 3. Haryana. Junior: Boys: Team: 1. Uttar Pradesh, 2. Jharkhand, 3. Maharashtra; Individual Olympic round: 1. Sanjay Boro (Asm), 2. Dhaniram Basumatary (Asm) 3, Tanmay Malusare (Mah).

Girls: Team: 1. SPSB, 2. Telangana, 3. Jharkhand; Individual Olympic round: 1. Madhu Vedwan (Pun), 2. Monika Saren (WB), 3. Monisha Shankar (Kar).

Mixed team: 1. Jharkhand, 2. SPSB, 3. Uttar Pradesh.
