Rajput is ‘Champion of Champions’

Haryana’s Sanjeev Rajput, who won the 10m air rifle ‘Champion of Champions’ competition on Wednesday, took home Rs. 50,000 presented by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).

After the preliminary and elimination rounds, Rajput beat Army’s Satyendra Singh 31.7 points to 29.9 in the prize money round set to three shots. Satyendra Singh received Rs. 10,000.

The other shooters in the competition were women’s 10m air rifle winner Apurvi Chandela, Anjali Bhagwat, Gagan Narang, Imran Hasan Khan, Gayatri Pawaskar and K.C. Hema.

A week ago, Karnataka’s P.N. Prakash clinched the 10m pistol ‘Champion of Champions’ event with 30.5 points.
